Travelhall.com writer, Venezia Rose, left everything behind to travel the world. Her travels were overland. She backpacked from city to city, country to country using trains, buses, ferries and ships. Her journey lasted two and a half years. Venezia journaled the experience as a way to share her trip with those she loved who were not able to make the journey with her.

Venezia left a fast-moving career to follow what she describes as an unquenchable passion for traveling, seeing the world and learning about people that were different to her.

Journal of the Continents: Japan is a sixty-two page account of her travels through the country of Japan. This particular journal begins four months into Venezia’s travels. At that point, she had already successfully traveled across Europe, journeyed the Tran-Siberian Railway through Russia, wandered Mongolian deserts and explored China. Still, she had many more rivers to cross.

This book is just one of a series of Journals written by Venezia Rose. The Journal of the Continents series chronicles the unique things Venezia saw, the interesting people she met and her experiences as a lone, female traveler in far off lands.
